rganized to provide Biblical short-term counseling from caring Christian brothers and sisters. Lay counselors are those who are well versed in what the Bible says about everyday life circumstances. They also have the gifts of wisdom, discernment, compassion, and exhortation and the skills of listening, advising, and keeping confidences. Lay counselors help families to address issues pertaining to grief, loss, conflict, marital problems, childrearing issues, and other challenges. The Lay counselors ministry also offers Church wide workshops on issues of importance to the membership and also specialized workshops for deacons and other ministry leaders.
